HomePage Conference Recent Trends in Analysis in honor of Nikolai Nikolskii 31. August - 2. September 2011
IMB, Université Bordeaux 1, France
We would like to inform you that we are organizing the conference "Recent Trends in Analysis" in honor of Nikolai Nikolskii. The conference will take place at University Bordeaux 1 from August, 31, to September, 3, 2011, the last day of the conference being intended for an excursion and informal discussions. The conference is aimed at the latest advances in the function theory, harmonic analysis, functional analysis and operator theory. We also want to catch this opportunity to celebrate the life-long outstanding mathematical career of Nikolai Nikolskii as well as his past 70-th birthday. The confirmed plenary speakers are:
Unfortunately, the funding of the conference is quite tight, and we will be grateful if you find a possibility to cover your participation at the event from your own sources. Some support on exceptional basis is, however, available for reimbursing young researchers (Ph.D. students, post-docs) and participants from countries providing little funds for this type of travel (Eastern Europe, Northern Africa, etc). More information on the conference is available at http://analyse2011.math.cnrs.fr/index.php The registration form (to send back to analyse2011@math.u-bordeaux1.fr ) is at http://analyse2011.math.cnrs.f/index.php?n=Site.Registration The deadline for the registration is July, 1, 2011. We kindly ask you to submit your registration form by June, 1, 2011, if you need a formal invitation for obtaining the visa. The titles and the abstracts of talks should be submitted to analyse2011@math.u-bordeaux1.fr before August, 15, 2011. The proceedings of the conference will be edited by "Theta Foundation" (a non-profit organization hosting Journal of Operator Theory) after the end of the conference. The volume will be subject to the regular refereeing process. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of:
With best regards, Organizers: J. Esterle, B. Haak, A. Hartmann, P. Jaming, S. Kupin, E. Strouse, M. Zarrabi.
